THE SOFTWARE
Welcome to Perfume Composer — your creative workstation for crafting fragrances. This compact guide covers everything you need to know to start composing, printing, and managing your scent creations.
• ■ Step 1 — Launch & Layout: Open Perfume Composer. The Fragrance Bank appears on the left and the Recipe workspace on the right — your two main panels.
• Hover over IFRA percentages to check compliance warnings.
• Your last fragrance bank reloads automatically when you reopen the app.
• All data is stored in your Perfume-Composer folder (Documents or Home).
• Delete config.json in that folder to reset preferences or themes.
• ■ Step 2 — Add Fragrances: Use Fragrances → Add Fragrance to add ingredients with their note type, price, and IFRA limits. You can also import CSV fragrance lists.
• ■ Step 3 — Create a Recipe: Double-click or drag fragrances from the bank to the recipe panel. Enter quantities; percentages, costs, and IFRA compliance update instantly.
• ■ Step 4 — Save & Export: Save your recipes as JSON files or export elegant PDFs. You can reopen or print them anytime from the menu.
• ■ Step 5 — Print Labels: Use Recipes →Print Label to design and print perfume labels. Supports Bluetooth printers like the Phomemo D30 with adjustable frames and offsets.
• ■ Step 6 — Customize Themes: Toggle between light and dark modes from View →Toggle Theme. Your choice is remembered next time you launch the app.
